This project was assigned in my Publication Design class at Sierra College. We were given a folder of stock photos and had to use at least four of them for our four-page spread. We were also given the copy to use, the headline, the kicker and the deck. From there, we came up with the required two sidebars, two pull quotes and five subheads. This assignment was special for me because I got interested in graphic design while working as an Editor at Sacramento City College’s newspaper, Sac City Express and magazine, Mainline. I now know how both sides operate, and how important the copy is to the design.
