For this project, I was assigned to design an 11x17” poster for Earth Day, which required the use of the text “Earth Day 2017,” the creation and use of two symbols and two patterns; one live paint group; and the creation and use of two additional items of our choice. It also required a minimum of seven elements. The concept of my poster was the power we have to minimize climate change. Doing something as small as starting your own garden can reduce your carbon footprint as you will not rely as much on the production, shipping and delivery of fruit, vegetables and herbs to stores. If you do have room for your garden at home, you can start in containers. That’s was the purpose of this poster - to urge people to start their garden any way they can.
